Energy Efficient

Our rooflights as standard feature 32mm DGU toughened safety glass with low-e coating and warm edge spacer.  The low-e coating allows the suns natural heat (solar gain) to pass through the panes then the low-e coating reflects the heat gain back into the room, which is more energy efficient. The warm edge spacer is made of an insulating plastic composite material that becomes a barrier to heat loss, keeping the edge of the unit warm, resulting in less heat loss.  With the exception of the Walk-On Rooflights, as the glass specification is determined by the size & loading requirements.

Manufactured from our own 6063-T6 aluminium profile, thermally broken with 32mm polyamide insulation sections to prevent cold bridging and stop condensation.  The frames are dual colour, coated with marine grade polyester powder coating; supplied in dark grey (RAL 7015) externally and white (RAL 9010) internally, as standard (with the exception of the walk-on rooflights – please see specific tech spec area for full details).  They come factory glazed, as one unit for ease of installation, for the best easy to fit solution include our Upstand which will give you the correct fall angle required.

Made to your specification

Our rooflights can be fully customised with various glazing options; finishes vary and can sometimes be utilised in multiple combinations.  You may wish for the glass to be etched or obscured for added privacy or environmental impact.  Perhaps coated for light / heat transmission properties and maintenance advantages.  Or even annealed, anti-reflective, ceramic frit / enamelled, fused, opaque, patterned, polished, sand-blasted, self-cleaning, tinted etc… The options within glass specifications are endless.  The only limitation is your imagination.  You could also upgrade and choose the external frame colour from a variety of RAL colours.

Standards compliant

Our rooflight collection is fully tested to the CWCT guidelines (in accordance with the latest BS EN standards) for; air permeability, water tightness & wind resistence.  Achieving the highest classifications possible – for full details, please view the test report in the ‘Tech Spec & Download’ area of each rooflight.  Ideal for installation on flat roofs, but can also be used on sloped roofs up to a pitch of 30 degrees.

Delivery

Our nationwide, dedicated delivery service ensures your rooflights will be delivered on-time, efficiently, safely and free from damage.

Our high specification service guarantees you the shortest lead time possible; more than 50% of our Standard (stock) sizes are available on rooflight 3 day delivery or the standard delivery service is 5-10 working days.  Our Standard (non-stock) & Bespoke sizes can be delivered within 10-15 working days.

Your rooflight will be delivered on a kerbside delivery basis.

Depending on the size and weight of your rooflight, extra hands will be needed to help unload.  We will inform you on our Dispatch Confirmation email; the weight of the rooflight and how many people will be required to unload.

Delivery; Dates & Times

Orders placed after 12pm (midday) or at the weekend / on a Bank Holiday may not be processed until the next working day.

The Company will make all reasonable endeavours to meet all estimated times or dates for delivery. However, time for delivery shall not be a term of or of the essence of any contract and the Company shall therefore not be liable for any loss or damage caused or occasioned by late delivery.

Delivery dates and weeks are not guaranteed but we will do out upmost to ensure Products are delivered by the stated date or within a reasonable period thereafter.

We shall not be liable for delays or failure in delivery because we cannot gain access to delivery address on the agreed delivery date or because of other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Delivery shall take place either at the time of collection of the product by the Customer or their agent from the Company premises, or if the products are delivered to the Customer or their agent, at the moment of unloading of the goods at the Customer’s site / premises. Unloading of the goods is from the delivery vehicle to your site / premises, not to where the product is to be installed.

Upon delivery the Customer will have a 15 minute time slot where the delivery driver will wait to allow you to inspect the goods being delivered. Any damage or missing items should be notified to the Company at this time by making comment on the delivery paperwork and by contacting our Customer Services either by phone or email. Any claims of damaged or missing items after this time will not be entertained.

Checks on delivery
An adult must be available at the delivery address to carefully check the product, sign and acknowledge receipt in a safe and satisfactory condition; you will be allowed 15 minutes to conduct these checks. Please report any defects immediately upon delivery by calling or emailing our Customer Services. If no-one is available to accept delivery of the product, redelivery and cancellation charges will apply.

Collection
Collection of your order is possible from our factory in Cambridge; Queens Business Park, Wilbraham Road, Fulbourn, Cambridge CB21 5GT
To opt for collection, go through to Checkout and select it in the ‘delivery options’. We will then contact you to arrange a time for collection.
Please ensure that an appropriate vehicle is used for collection, bearing in mind fork-loading, dimensions (allowing for packaging) and weight of your order.

Packaging

Your rooflight will be fully protected; shrink wrapped on a bespoke timber frame, laid flat.

Damaged Goods or Incorrect Deliveries

When any consignment of Goods is incorrectly received by the Customer, the customer shall advise the Company in writing (other than upon a consignment note or delivery document) within 24 hours of delivery. No claim will be entertained unless the Customer complies with the term of this condition. In any event the liability of the Company in the event of any incorrect deliveries referred to in this condition shall not exceed the replacement of the goods shown to be incorrectly delivered or, at the Company’s option, the refund of the price received by the Company for the goods.

Goods returned to the company shall be subject to inspection (and if necessary remedial work) before any credit for the returned goods is issued.
Where the customer wishes to exchange their product(s), the purchase of alternative product(s) and the inspection of the returned product(s) shall be completed prior to any credit being issued.

Claims made after signing for delivery in good condition will be considered at the Company’s discretion

Storage

We will charge you a non-refundable storage fee of £100 per full week in the following circumstances;

Where delivery bookings have not been made – 2 weeks after the original due date of the rooflight or first booking attempt by the Company (whichever is the later); or

Where delivery bookings have been made – if the Customer or their agent is unavailable or unable to take delivery of the rooflight after agreeing delivery dates with the Company, redelivery and cancellations charges will also apply.

Risk

The risk in the Goods (product) shall pass to the Customer at the time of delivery. Where the goods are stored by the Company pending collection, they shall be stored at the Customer’s risk.

Cancellations

If you need to amend or cancel your order for a Bespoke size rooflight you are entitled to do so at any time up to 24 hours after you have placed your order by contacting our offices.

If you amend or cancel your order more than 24 hours after you placed it, we reserve the right to charge you any costs we incur in relation to your order.

Our Products

The Company always endeavours to stock the best products on Vision AGI but unfortunately we cannot guarantee that a particular product will always be available.

If we are unable to supply a product the Customer has ordered, we will notify the Customer via email or phone (if supplied with a contact number) where possible, and will either refund the Customer for that item or provide the Customer with further information regarding future availability.
All offers are available while stocks last. The Company has endeavoured to make the descriptions (including all images) of the products as accurate as possible but we cannot be held responsible for changes in size, content or presentation of products made by the relevant manufacturer or supplier.

All descriptions and samples are given in good faith, but the Company makes no warranty and accepts no condition whether express or implied (statutory or otherwise) that any of the products supplied comply with any descriptions and samples given to the Customer or his agent. Any recommendation or suggestion relating to the use or durability of the products is given in good faith but it is the responsibility of the Customer to satisfy themselves that the product is suitable for their own particular purpose and shall be deemed to have done so. All express or implied warranties or conditions (statutory or otherwise) that the product are of any particular quality or fit for any particular purpose whether or not made known to the Company are hereby excluded.

Order Process

To place an order please add your choice of products to your basket and proceed to the checkout, completing the instructions for processing your payment.
Please note all prices are exclusive of VAT and may be subject to change without notification. All prices and charges quoted on Vision AGI are in UK Pounds Sterling (GBP).

We accept online payment through our secure payment provider SagePay only, which enables you to use the following Credit and Debit Cards; Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Solo, MasterCard, American Express and PayPal.

To ensure your security while shopping online, your credit/debit card details will be encrypted to ensure that these details cannot be intercepted by a third party. We will not share your details with any third party.

Order Acknowledgement & Confirmation

When you place an order online we will automatically send you an email to acknowledge that we have received it, so that you have a reference of your order details. Please note, receipt of your order does not mean that it has been processed or guarantee that we will have the items in stock. If a product is not available we will endeavour to let you know as soon as possible via email.
Once we have checked your order we will then send you an order acceptance email detailing the goods you have ordered and at which point contract completion occurs.
When your product is ready for dispatch we will send you a dispatch confirmation email.

The Company reserves the right to cancel any sale and not supply products if it is reasonable to do so and may change or discontinue the availability of products at any time at its sole discretion. If an order is cancelled, any payment made for the products will be refunded in full. This does not affect your Statutory Rights.

All new orders are deemed separate and each are treated individually.

Despite all our efforts, very occasionally a product in our online shop will be mispriced. Of course we verify prices as part of our dispatch and delivery procedure. If a product’s correct price is lower than our stated price, we will charge the lower amount and send you the product. If a product’s correct price is higher than our stated price, we will, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before dispatch or we will cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation.

Essential Checks;

Before ordering
It the Customer ‘s responsibility to ensure that there is suitable lifting equipment available to take receipt of delivery and there is sufficient access for our delivery vehicle to reach the delivery address, as fees for redelivery and cancellation will apply.
If the Customer’s property is an industrial or maritime area or an area that is subject to potentially corrosive or polluted environment please call our Customer Services to discuss the appropriate material specifications we could offer to suit your specific need.

On order & dispatch confirmation
It is the Customer’s responsibility to thoroughly check all the information included on the order & dispatch confirmations; dimensions, address etc and to inform the Company of any discrepancies immediately by calling or emailing our Customer Services.

On delivery

Returns / Refunds

We hope you will be pleased with your Products however;
Should you wish to return any accessory or other non-bespoke-size products bought from us, we will exchange a product provided it is in a fully resaleable condition and returned to our factory in Cambridge at your own cost. Please be aware any exchange or refund will be subject to an administration/restocking fee. If the product returned is not in a fully resaleable condition or the packaging is damaged, we reserve the right to refuse a refund on the item, or deduct up to 50% of the original selling price from the refund amount.
Bespoke-size products cannot be returned once manufactured as they are made to measure and individually ordered to your specifications unless they are faulty or damaged prior to delivery.

Defective products

If the Customer believes any of our products to be of an unsatisfactory quality please immediately contact Customer Services and treat your product with the upmost care.

Rooflight Classification

Our Rooflights (products / goods) are classed as “Fragile Roofs”, except for the Walk-On Rooflights. If there is any possibility whatsoever of persons stepping or falling on the rooflight, it is the Customers responsibility to ensure that safety barriers are installed to prevent persons from stepping on or falling on the rooflight.

Representation

The Customer acknowledges that he has not entered into this Contract on the basis of any representation whatsoever made to him by the Company or its agents.

Ownership

No legal property in or beneficial ownership of the goods shall pass from the Company to the Customer unless and until the Customer has made full and complete payment to the Company of (i) all sums due from the Customer to the Company under this agreement in respect of the goods and (ii) all other sums due from the Customer to the Company on any account whatsoever. If any sum due from the customer to the Company on any account whatsoever remains unpaid after the Company has given to the Customer two days written notice of their intention to exercise their rights under this Condition the Customer shall be deemed to have repudiated this agreement and the Company shall be entitled to terminate this agreement to forfeit any sums paid to it by the Customer in respect of the goods and to recover the goods if necessary by entry into and removal from the Customers’ premises without prejudice to any other claims which the Company may have against the Customer.

Force Majeure

The Company shall be entitled to cancel or delay delivery or to reduce the quantity of the Goods delivered if it is delayed or hindered in or prevented from manufacturing or delivering by normal route or means of delivering the Goods through any circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to war, fire, flood, act of God, unavailability of raw materials, government restrictions and controls, strikes and lockouts.

Indemnity

The Customer shall indemnify the Company against all claims, demands, damages, penalties, costs and expenses to which the Company may become liable as a result of work done in accordance with the Customer’s order which involves the infringement or alleged infringements of any letters, patent, trademarks, registered designs, industrial models or copyrights.
The Company accepts no responsibility where specifications or particulars supplied by the Customer are inaccurate and the customer shall indemnify the Company against any loss suffered by the Company by reason of such inaccuracy.

Set Off

The Customer shall not be entitled to withhold or set off payment of any amount due to the Company under the terms of any contract whether in respect of any claim of the Customer in respect of faulty or defective Goods or for any other reason which is contested or liability for which is not admitted by the Company.

General

Because of the nature of the Internet the Company provides and maintains Vision AGI on an “as is”, “as available” basis and makes no promise that the use of Vision AGI will be uninterrupted or entirely error free. We are not responsible to the Customer if we are unable to provide our Internet services for any reason beyond our reasonable control.

The Company will not be liable in any amount for failure to perform any obligation under this agreement if such failure is caused by the occurrence of any unforeseen event beyond its reasonable control including without limitation Internet outages, communication outages, fire, flood, war or act of God.

These Terms do not affect your Statutory Rights as a consumer.

This Web Site may contain links to other sites. Unless expressly stated, these sites are not under the control of Vision AGI or that of our affiliates. We assume no responsibility for the content of such websites and disclaim liability for any and all forms of loss or damage arising out of the use of them. Subject as aforesaid, to the maximum extent permitted by law, Vision AGI excludes liability for loss or damage of any kind howsoever arising, including without limitation any direct, indirect or consequential loss whether or not such loss arises out of any problem you notify to Vision AGI and Vision AGI shall have no liability to pay any money by way of compensation, including without limitation all liability in relation to:

The Company shall not be liable for any damage, illness, injury or loss of any kind whatsoever and howsoever caused to any property, persons, animals or produce or arising out of or in connection whether directly or indirectly with the use of the Goods provided that nothing in this Condition or the Conditions generally shall limit the Company’s direct liability in respect of death or personal injury.

The Company may change or withdraw any part of Vision AGI, or may refuse you access to the web site at any time if we consider it necessary.
The Company may also terminate this Agreement and immediately remove, cancel or suspend access to and use of Vision AGI upon breach of any part of these Terms whatsoever. Termination shall be without prejudice to the Company’s other rights.

The Company acts as a principal on its own account and not as an agent for you or any other person.
If the Company does not enforce any provision of this agreement such will not be considered a continuing waiver.
In the event that any part of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, such part will at the Company’s option be construed as far as possible to reflect the parties’ intentions and the remainder of the provisions will remain in full force and effect.

These Terms constitute the full agreement between you and the Company and may only be amended in writing. They apply to the exclusion of all other Terms or Conditions of contract proposed.

These conditions shall have precedence over any conditions appearing on any other documents emanating from the Customer of their agent, any such Customer conditions shall have no affect whatever unless expressly accepted in writing by the Company.

Use of Vision AGI and these Conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with English Law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of English Courts.

Returns

We hope you will be pleased with your skylight, roof window or rooflight however;

Returns / Refunds

Unfortunately our Bespoke-size products cannot be returned once manufactured as they are made to measure and individually ordered to your specifications, unless they are faulty or damaged prior to delivery.

Should you wish to return any accessory or other Stock-item products (non-bespoke) bought from us, we will exchange a product provided it is in a fully resaleable condition and returned to our factory in Cambridge (details below) at your own cost. Please be aware any exchange or refund will be subject to an administration/restocking fee.

Please note; Vision AGI will not pay for the cost of return delivery. We do however strongly advise that all returns are sent via a dedicated delivery service to ensure safe receipt. We cannot be held responsible for any returned items which are undelivered or damaged in return transit.

If the product returned is not in a fully resaleable condition or the packaging is damaged, we reserve the right to refuse a refund on the item, or deduct up to 50% of the original selling price from the refund amount.

Returns will be processed within 14 working days upon receipt of the goods, whereupon we will contact you directly regarding the issue of either a refund or exchange. Refunds can take up to 15 working days to appear in your account.

If you are exchanging an item where there is a difference in cost, such costs will be either charged / refunded via the original payment method (along with postage and packaging where appropriate).

Defective products

If the Customer believes any of our products to be of an unsatisfactory quality please immediately contact Customer Services and treat your product with the upmost care.

If, the fault or damage is found to be our responsibility, we will send out a replacement and arrange the collection of the damaged goods. Please ensure any damaged goods are returned with a copy of your original Dispatch & Delivery Note.

If, by our error you have received the incorrect goods in your order, we will endeavour to replace the goods with the correct products at no extra cost, and will bear all costs for the return of the products.

We have our own in-house Vision AGI Rooflight installation teams available to install your rooflights throughout the UK.

Our teams possess a wealth of knowledge & experience; they are all registered with the CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) and our lead installers are also CWCT (Centre for Window and Cladding Technology) accredited.

We believe in our team’s capabilities and performance. They are committed and focused on ensuring they do the best job possible, with great attention to detail, within the set timescales.

FAQs

What are the size dimensions on your website?

The sizes listed are the external dimensions of your finished kerb upstand. The rooflight is designed to fit a kerb upstand of this size.

The Width dimension is the overall measurement to the kerb upstand directed across the fall of the roof. The Height dimension is the overall measurement of the kerb upstand running in the same direction as the fall of the roof.

How do I measure correctly for my rooflight?

Before measuring it is important to check that the walls to your upstand are parallel and square and that your upstand is finished and fully weathered.

Measure the overall finished kerb upstand across the fall of your roof, from outside edge to outside edge of the upstand. This will be your Width dimension.

Measure the overall finished kerb upstand in the same direction as the fall of your roof, from outside edge to outside edge of the upstand. This will be your Height dimension.

How do I place an order?

Ordering couldn’t be easier! Just head to our online shop, choose the style of rooflight you would like and complete all of the required fields.

What are the delivery times?

We hold stock of the best-selling rooflights from our Collection; these items are available for 3 Day delivery, or Standard Delivery is within 5-10 working days.

All other items are available for delivery within approximately 10-15 working days.

How much will my rooflight weigh?

This will be dependent on the size and specification of your rooflight, but as an example a standard specification Fixed Skylight; 1000mm X 1000mm would weigh approximately 50kgs.

If you need to know the exact weight of your rooflight we can advise you of this, on dispatch. Please contact the Office on 01245 392 108, if you require this service.

How will my rooflight be packaged?

It is very important to us your rooflight arrives on site in the same condition it left us, so it will be fully protected. The rooflight will be packaged with shrink wrap on a bespoke timber pallet and laid flat.

How are my rooflights delivered? And will help be required to unload?

Your rooflight will be delivered by our mainland UK dedicated delivery provider.

It is your responsibility to ensure there are enough people available to off load your rooflight/s safely.

The Dispatch Confirmation email will detail the approximate size and weight of the rooflight/s and how many people will be required to unload.

Can I collect my rooflight from your factory?

Collection of your order is possible from our factory in Cambridge; Queens Business Park, Wilbraham Road, Fulbourn, Cambridge CB21 5GT. The same lead/delivery times apply.

To opt for collection, go through to ‘Checkout’ and select it in the ‘Delivery Options’. We will then contact you to arrange a time for collection.

Please note: An appropriate vehicle MUST be used for collection, bearing in mind fork-loading, dimensions (allowing for packaging) and weight of your order. Rooflights must be transported flat.

What shape rooflight can I have?

You can have any shape rooflight you like but this would not be part of our standard product Rooflights Collection.

Are the rooflights safe to walk on?

Our rooflights are classed as “Fragile Roofs”, except for the Walk-On Rooflights Collection. If there is any possibility whatsoever of persons stepping or falling on the rooflight, it is your responsibility to ensure that safety barriers are installed to prevent trips/falls onto the rooflight/s.

Do you have a site survey service?

We can complete a Site Survey of your site to ensure that the upstand has been constructed correctly, to measure the opening to which our upstand is to be fitted or to check accessibility of the site.

How do I support my rooflight/s?

Rooflights including Aluminium rooflight are installed with a supporting upstand/kerb detail. Upstands are used to keep the glazed section of the rooflight off of the roof’s surface and are typically made of timber.

When ordering your Vision AGI rooflight/s you will be offered the option of being supplied with our upstand. We would recommend that this be used as this will ensure that you have the correct size and pitch (to allow for water run-off) to your Upstand.

Can I use my own upstand?

A good carpenter/builder can build an upstand with the required specification, either new or existing, as long as the following guidelines are adhered to:

  • Ensure the upstand is square by measuring across the diagonally opposite corners.
  • Allow for the correct pitch
  • Minimum height of the upstand is 150mm
  • Upstand width should be 100mm (including finishes)

Whether Vision AGI has supplied your upstand, or if you have constructed it yourself, it is important you instruct your roofer to correctly dress the upstand to ensure the correct fitting of your Vision AGI rooflight. Please ensure the roof membrane thickness does not exceed 8mm to the top most 100mm of the upstand and make sure that the top face of the upstand is free from undulations that exceed 3mm.

How high does the upstand need to be from the roof surface?

Current Building Regulations recommend that the upstand must protrude at least 150mm (at its lowest point) above the finished roof surface.

Do the flat rooflights need to be fitted with a fall to make rain water run off?

No, they can be installed in flat roofs as long as the upstand/kerb detail has a minimum 3 degree pitch to allow for water run-off. The Walk On Collection should have a 1 degree pitch.

Does the glass block the harmful UV rays of the sun?

Our standard glass specification is 32mm DGU toughened safety glass with low-e coating and warm edge spacer. The low-e coating allows the sun’s natural heat (solar gain) to pass through the panes then the low-e coating reflects the heat gain back into the room, which is more energy efficient. The warm edge spacer is made of an insulating plastic composite material that becomes a barrier to heat loss, keeping the edge of the unit warm, resulting in less heat loss. This is not the case with Walk-On Collection, as the glass specification is determined by the size & loading requirements.

However, you can add Solar Control Coating to reflect the sun’s radiation and help to reduce the build-up of heat in the room below.

What are the power and wiring requirements for the Electric options?

All our electric rooflights run on 24V DC. We include the transformer and relevant components to operate your rooflight. The wiring diagrams needed will be sent with your rooflight. They must be wired in and signed off by a qualified electrician for your insurance purposes.

Which side will the hinges be on my rooflight?

The hinges on our rooflights are always on the width dimension (running across the fall of the roof).

Do the rooflights come with a warranty?

  • Painted Surfaces – 10 years
  • Glass – 10 years
  • Silicone Sealants – 10 years
  • Operating Gear – 12 months from date of purchase

How do I clean my rooflights?

Please refer to the O&M Guide that is delivered with your Rooflights. You can also download a further copy of the O&M Guide in our ‘Tech Spec & Download’ area, which can be found in the ‘Product Detail’ pages of our website.

Can I get my rooflight/s in different colours?

The frames are dual colour, coated with marine grade polyester powder coating; supplied in slate grey (RAL 7015) externally and white (RAL 9010) internally, as standard. If you would prefer an alternative external colour you can upgrade your rooflight and then choose the external colour you would like from our RAL colour chart.

Please note: this optional extra may affect the lead time.

What are your payment terms?

Our payment terms are full settlement on placement of order. We accept payment through our online payment method, which accepts all major credit card and PayPal transactions. If ordering by phone/email following a quotation payment will be by bank transfer.
